How About a Baby Squirrel

Today, I'm cleaning some old photos off my memory card and hard drive.
This baby squirrel landed, unharmed, when a tree bearing its nest fell during a storm. Aark reports that the organization rescues about 1,200 squirrels per year. That's 100 per month.
My question is, "Why?"
