I bought a ticket to the Vancouver Aquarium to kill some time. As city aquariums go, it was a nice one, and it even had some outdoor SeaWorld-type pool shows with beluga whales and such.
This shot is of a South American caiman (not sure which species.) Caimans are in the same family as alligators and can be found throughout Central and South America. The Canadian kids were simply in awe of it, but all I could think was, "geez ... we fish these things out of the sewers back home."
