Anya
photo of animals
Anya is one of the longer residents at Freshfields Rescue centre having arrived in June 2011. Here is her profile from the website :-

'Stray, been hanging around for a few weeks. Lady been feeding, filthy, full of cat flu, extremely jumpy and matted on admit, from Banks area.

Anya has come on in leaps and bounds since her arrival in both looks and personality. After arriving in such a terrible state, practically on deaths door, she fought her way back to health and is a transformed cat from the one we first met. She's still a timid little lady but she is learning to trust people more and more as each day comes. All Anya needs is some warmth, shelter and love which is what she deserves after living rough for so long. A tiny girl in need of a peaceful home. Older experienced quiet cat people please'.

Anya is a tiny little girl who purrs as soon as you look at her, but seems often overlooked as she is still a bit shy. She is so sweet though and would make someone a lovely companion.

More information about Anya can be found at :-

HuaTongOversea Blog Claim: Most of the photos in my Flickr were taken with my Canon 400D + Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 Sometimes in order to describe something I do use few photos I got from online, these photos will be marked and credited to the original owners if I know. If I don't know, I still normally apply heavy photoshop on them to the extend of 'recreation' or 'recovery'. If you can still recognize it or the difference is too small with your liking, as the original owner you should inform me, I will take them down immediately once I confirmed the ownership. This lucky boy was the only one to find a home
www.laanimalservices.com/eval_carecenter.htm

If you are thinking about getting a pet - please get one from a shelter or rescue organization. These animals really need homes and the longer they are in the shelter the less likely they are to get adopted.

All of these wonderful dogs and cats are available for adoption at the east valley animal shelter.....go get one....or two

Wolverine (Gulo gulo)

It is also referred to as glutton, carcajou, skunk bear, or quickhatch, is the largest land-dwelling species of the family Mustelidae (weasels). It is a stocky and muscular carnivore, more closely resembling a small bear than other mustelids. The wolverine has a reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to kill prey many times its size. The wolverine can be found primarily in remote reaches of the Northern boreal forests and subarctic and alpine tundra of the Northern hemisphere, with the greatest numbers in the U.S. state of Alaska, northern Canada, the Nordic countries of Europe, and throughout western Russia and Siberia. Their populations have experienced a steady decline since the 19th century in the face of trapping, range reduction and habitat fragmentation, such that they are essentially absent in the southern end of their European range. It is, however, estimated that large populations remain in North America and northern Asia. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolverine
