Happy Tails: Daphney
We were looking for a dog for my daughter when Daphney found her. Daphney had been neglected and abused. When we saw her as she was brought into the shelter, she was covered in fleas, had never been groomed, and was a bit odorous. She cleaned up just fine! My daughter was going through a difficult time at that point and Daphney's companionship kept her safe. Daphney's love and devotion to her new "person" gave her hope and purpose.
Daphney is now the queen of our home and making up for the attention she didn't receive in the first few years of her life. She was a member of team Kribbit's Kritters in Barktoberfest 2010, raising funds to give other dogs the same chance she had (and despite her rather short stature, she made the entire walk!). Kay has gone on to survive a bumpy time and thrive at college. And although they both adjusted well to Kay being away at school (Daphney has even visited campus!), they are happiest when they are together. I look at them and often wonder, just who rescued whom?

Annika is the landlord's dog. I love her.

She's a really sweet dog, but she was abused at her last home, so it takes awhile before she'll trust you. She and Herbie hang out in the back yard together every day.

No Common Sense

These jerks decided to lock their dog in the car with the windows up while they enjoyed the waterfront. The police rescued the dog by smashing their window and leaving a note. The dog had been taken away.

Tirei algumas fotos mas só esta saiu nitida, em vôo elas têm um "turbo" valente.
Por vezes têm um comportamento semelhante ao perna-longa e mandam uns berros aos intrusos.

Caged wolves
A small zoo in the ethnographic museum of Ulan Ude. Not knowing that there is a zoo in the museum, we went to see the open-air ethnographic museum displaying Siberian buildings. The ethnographic part was excellent.
However, the zoo was a shock. Big and wild animals - like wolves - were crammed into small cages that had often a wooden floor. It was obvious from the behavior of the animals that they were suffering and going nuts.

Life Reaching To Other Life Divided By Lie
Beautiful Giraffs in zoo that has very poor living conditions. This photo was taken to help raise awareness of zoos that are more like prisons taking away the animals freedom to live in its natural environment, the world in the freedom its suppose to.
They plant, grass, flower beds, trees and gardens in disease causing cities however, they ignore the dry dirt like pens animals are forced to live in in these many zoos and plant nothing.
No natural flow of water at all and is replaced with small dirty water bowls attached to a wire fencing.
Taking life out of its natural environment to stuff it into a wired boxed shaped closed in environment is like expecting animals to live in LIE.
This is invasive behaviour for human beings to do this and accept this as normal.
This interfers with EVOLUTION itself and the will of life by forcing it to suffer in confinment when it should, by the laws of nature, freewill and will live free and in freedom on a world that is for all life,,not the pigs who control it.
My trip into nature took me into a world where no life should be or live and now Im sharing this experience in this way so human beings can stop accepting zoos as the animals wonderful replacement to the wonderful world they already had.

Caged dogs Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang
An unfortunate attraction at Vinpearl land in Nha Trang are the performing dogs and monkies. Not a pleasant sight for me but sadly popular with a lot of visitors

A Mistake

My driver stopped to pay a toll. This guy walked up with the monkey, and I love taking pictures of monkeys. As soon as the monkey looked away, this guy started yanking the chain around its neck. I felt awful.

bear and elephant show

I thought I would feel really guilty about animal abuse and mistreatment, but the bears were like trying to break out of their enclosure to get onto stage. They seemed to love it, so I felt a little better. Plus, they were amazing!

Sad life
The animals have it bad in Nicaragua where they are routinely over worked, grossly underfed and, when they are too lame to be pushed any more, they are abandoned to a life of homeless on the streets.
Disfigured from abuse

This poor pittie deformed from being beaten, still has a sweet personality. Please contact Michele at ryninger@coj.net if you can rescue this guy from a shelter in Jacksonville FL. His time is almost up.
Starving horse, Leon Nicaragua
Abandoned to die by an abusive owner, starving horse forages for food in the street. For starters, there is great need for an animal rescue network, not only in Leon, but all though the Central and South Americas.
