We have visited Veszprém Zoo last weekend.
Its domesticated form is very widespread. In Asia it is kept for farming purposes, its milk, meat and fur is used and even its dung is utilised for heating. Besides these, it is perfectly suitable as a baggage animal, predominantly useful in places where other vehicles cannot be used.
As a desert animal, its build is suited to the austere conditions. The two humps on its back serve storing purposes. However, it does not store water in them, but fat tissues from which it can gain energy and water if it does not get food.
